The Fluval C3 and C4 are great filters but id probably get a C4 for your 30

Price wise I recommend bigalsonline but for best service I would recommend fosterandsmith

I run a Whisper 60 on my son's 29 gallon and it does an awesome job at keeping the tank clean. It's a tad loud, but it's pretty old so that probably contributes to the noise. Bonus is I only paid $7 for it at a garage sale haha.
