Feed xtreme cichlid diet pellets (1.5mm) several times a day (but twice a day will do). They also will stuff themselves on Hikari sinking wafers (more than the algae wafers). Some angels don't get as big....people aren't breeding for size as much as colors.
If they are really healthy, they should come out of the water at you when you feed.
Really good water quality is important, too, of course.

Like already said, big varied diet, few feeds a day, generous water changes and up the temp. My angels grew like weeds at 87.7F.
The higher the temp the more faster they metabolize, the more waste produced the more water changes needed. The more you feed the more they waste the more water changes needed. So raising the temp and feeding alone more means quite a bit of extra water changing, you will be doing it in power mode. Just make sure params are similar so you don't shock the fish while it is in a growing spurt.
