That's a good idea, too. My lfs swears by sponges. Has them in most all his tanks.

im thinking about put (2)125's and (2) 40 breeders does anyone know where i can find out more about this like a how to website or something

When you said "save money on my bill" im assuming you mean Electricity Bill? TBH the electricity required to filter all those tanks would be a fraction of the cost of lighting and/or heating them. Id run the 125g's off of one sump, youd need a 55g tank for that and then just run a large HOB or a smallish canisters for each of the 40g's, eheim 2215's would be my choice.
