How come my indos look nothing like this

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Environment + larger group of fish can change IT to be more stable. I got few ITs all time black in one tank but
when transfer to another tank half the fishes turn to stable all the time and some semi stable. Hopefully all will turn
stable next few days. I capture the video when I free. Thanks.

To add a bit ... I am talking about stable more then 6
months already after changing new environment with larger group of fish.

finikiy fish i find and they love water changes and groups of the same size and so far havent had anything work with them... they are like a pack of 3 worlves and ya without food or attention and alot of it they tend to get angry and depressed

very true they like darkness and places to blend i found and if everything is light and bland in the tank they tend to be a bit on the dull side(when i bought them from the fish store) great now

IMO. Datnoids are like Chameleons. A light colored back ground and strong lighting play a very important part.

not necessary.....the unstable dat will still be unstable, having a pale coloration with the bars blending in the background color (as opposed to being completely dark)

a unstable IT is a happy IT :)

Indo dats and ct wide bar is diffrends blood that y as same side 6" indo sale for $70 max and 6" wide bar ct sale for $700:)

the stupid stability issue will cost you money, if you have 1 dat, you will buy 4 more. if its a planted/decorated tank, they will hide. then you will get dither fish to calm them down, maybe you will try to dim the lights. i am no expert as i have done the above. some dats just will not stabilize for some reason. i have an indo that is not stable at all yet swims everywhere, calm as hell. same with my silver. i have one ntt like t1karmann with the full necklace that hid 99% of the time. i decided to shut down the tank and slod all deco today, then the damn ntt went stable so i deleted the listing :headbang2
