How come no one could identify my fish gender?

1. Could be a male because it is skinny.
2. Could be a female because this fish is very peaceful; Hasn't ate since i got it.
I am afraid that it will die soon, got it on December 30th.

^^^ i agree---you say you think it may die soon. Then why in the XXXX are you worried about the sex. Get some food in it. If it will not eat find out why. Check all the water parameters. Offer different food. Contact the place you got it from and ask what it ate there.
