How come no one has yet built the ultimate fish room?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
The Omaha Zoo actually did build the ultimate fish room! They haven't given me the keys to the front door yet though lol. They do allow overnight camping every so often...pretty cool :)

Hey Oscarum I had the same vision...being a "guest in their domain"...so i got a SCUBA certification...its the ultimate and a whole lot cheaper :)

Good for you, but its hardly comparable.

I think one of the main reasons besides cost would be available space. I mean if you built a encompassing fish tank only 5' wide for example that's 10ft each direction plus the observation room. If you wanted it large enough for large fish say at least 10' wide that's 20'+observation room. That's getting to be a lot of space most ppl just don't have.

I'm vaguely remembering something, probably out of those posts of unique tanks, someone had a small bathroom surrounded by a big fish tank...but I'm not finding it on google. Hmm...

arapaimag's tank is 15k, johnptc's tank is 50k, they both are amazing!

Def not worth 360k for the 5min u would spend in it a day. Cool non the less
