as far as keeping tems..... they are fast growers and very aggro when big and will set you back on alot of other fish/things because of tank space and it aggro behavior...
.... i do sure miss MINES... but he in a bigger and better place now....

I think it is mostly the space requirements being that they are the largest growing sp. and that is the reason i stick to monos, ocells and orinos (my personal Fav.)
Haha Ive cruised alot of sections and the Cichla guys have got to be some of the most hardcore fish keepers on this site, if not in the world! Cichla people are pitbull people for sure. I would guess that alot of people that keep cichla also have pitbulls, and those that dont, have kept them before or wish the currently did. I have kept pits all my life, thats what leads me to think this way...
