I've been thinking about getting a few bichirs again, after seeing the awesome stock available in Singapore I was even more keen, then today I visited a couple of friends who both keep various bichirs, then went to the LFS and spotted some little P. palmas buettikoferi (?) and just couldn't help myself!
The tank was supposed to be for my festae fry, but I'm sure they'll be alright in a 20g...

I'm planning on picking up a few more dels and a couple of senegals if/when I can find them. Addiction: 1, Will power: 0...

Very nice Buettis and Delhezi. I wouldn't have been able to say no haha.

OMG!! Those baby buettikoferi are so darn cute! A 20g would be a perfect grow-out tank for them. :D

Tell me about it, there was no way they weren't coming home when I saw them! They're in a 40g for now (3'x18x18") which I was planning on putting the festae fry in. The fry are still with their parents until I can do a bit of a rearrange of the fish room this weekend.

Very nice choices!

Thanks, not really "choices" though. We get very few Polys here, the del/sen/palmas combo is about the extent of it (aside from ornates and albino sens, neither of which I want). Still happy though, hoping to build the numbers up to around 6-10 of them.

That was a nice pick up. I still missed all my bichirs.

So did I, just don't look to closely at the poly tanks when you're at your lfs........

Lol that's the reason I visit the lfs. Normally would go poly hunting to see if they import any new stocks. Heard moles and retrospect are coming over this week. Will be visiting my lfs soon. Why not try to ask if your lfs is willing to help import some other species? I find this easy when you are a frequent customer.
