Probably the Poly section
ok so i want a bichir. after seeing some of your you have convinced me to get one:naughty:. so what species is a good starter? the tank is a 125 with cichlids. the most aggressive is jack dempseys(2 females) and a red texas who is really a wimp:(. so could i do a bichir?

I just had to move my small 3" Female jack out of the tank over the weekend for biting the hell out of my bichir. She had no signs of aggression before putting the bichir in with them, (she didnt bother small firemouth, BGK , Pictus Cat or Peacock eel just attacked bichir). So in my experience Jacks HATE Bichirs.

take out the red texas cichild and u will be fine. And get some place for it to hide like a PVC tube.

I have two palmas polli in with my JD pair, parrot, and long fin O and they get along fine. It all depends on your fish and their temperament so I say give it a shot.

ok so what species? i was thinking maybe ornate or delhezi? i can do ornate, delhezi, palmas, and senegal. thoose are the ones the lfs has

ok i was waanting a delhezi to begin with cause i heard that they are a good starter species is this true

Delhezi would make a great beginner poly, actually pretty much any poly is a good beginner poly. Their care is very simple.
