Other than the fishkeeping hobby, I'm also an amateur astronomer. My area of interest is in stellar evolution and dynamics. That said, my favorite star is Naos (in the constellation Puppis). It is a very interesting and very luminous star in our area of the galaxy. You already know 1984.

Well Hey there Naos1984. Oddly enough I am an amateur astronomer as well fish keeper. I used this name simply because I am new to the forum. The new guy you know. Sadly I sold my astro gear when I lived in Fl. cause seeing sucked out there. Now I'm back in AZ and missing it. At the same time, when I moved back, I sold my fish gear so I didn't have to move it and things just haven't worked out for me to get set up with either since my return here. This is home, Fl. was not. As for my star, Alberio.

my nick name for the last 7 years was hamster. it came from me having a party where my friends saidaint no party like a hamster party. silly I know but its funny the things that stick.

The european chub, Leuciscus Cephalus, is one of my favourite fish and I made a pun out of the fish's name and the common term "Chubby" meaning overweight.

It was a real stretch of my imagination to come up with a username related to my keepng of oddball fish species. Thankfully, I had a moment of intense clarity where the proper name came to me.

My user name is Italian for "black water" Most of my favorite species come from the blackwaters of the Amazon and I'm Italian.

My real name is Evan but I go by Van so I was playing Xbox one day with my friends and I was do really good (COD). And I was like damn I'm an animal! And then it hit me, I was the vanimal. Lol and since then sometimes they call me that.
