How did you come up with that username?

Other than the fishkeeping hobby, I'm also an amateur astronomer. My area of interest is in stellar evolution and dynamics. That said, my favorite star is Naos (in the constellation Puppis). It is a very interesting and very luminous star in our area of the galaxy. You already know 1984.

Came to me for a runescape name that I played for only like a month :p. I needed something original so run from runescape itis because I thought anything with itis sounded big and strong like a God. I was like 11 I think and still use it for all usernames. pronounced rune-ight-is

I need to spark up my fish life

An unfortunate misspelling of the genus Metriaclima. Plus the "n" at the end to make it "man".
I would have to change my username to be Correct, as that'd drive me nuts. Lol.

my name is totally self explanatory.
I even managed to spoil my oscar. he doesn't like massivore, just worms :-/ I'm hopeless.

I've been keeping fish since ten years old (yes that was in the seventies folks), but it was when I got my first Oscars at age 14 that the big fish / predator bug bit me.

As we all do, as time went on my interests have changed (currently dwarf Channa) but I've never forgotten how much they spurred my interest beyond just keeping fish alive.

Proper nutrition, aggression, breeding, biotopes, filtration, and the biology, chemistry, microbiology, biochemistry behind it all.....still makes me smile remembering that sense of discovery. Thanks to this hobby it has never truly left me.

Hence ocellatus.
