Paging mod: Can we get a sticky on Dr. B's list?

I want a Senegal or some other smaller bichir to go in my 125 gallon. The only problem would be my cory cats and my swordtails
Cory cats- 2in.
Swordtails-2.5in.
Do you think I will have any problems? I was planning to get 2 rope fish and one bichir. But do u guys think 2 bichirs is better or the first choice?

depending on what species you get (anything other than a senegal or moke) unless you get them small you're going to have some problems with the bichirs trying to eat them. They are just too small right now maybe around 3"-4" they'd be better off with bichirs. With ropes though since they have a smaller mouth it'll be a chore to eat either, but definitely still possible so Id watch out for that. I would basically say if the swords and corys are your main fish Id wait a little longer to introduce bichirs, also even if bichirs are your main fish Id still either wait or remove both as the corys can do major damage if the polys eat them the wrong way.
