how do i age my own water

I've been using tap water for 15 years and justs adding prime some before i start and some after. I've done 50% water changes on my 200 and never had ich or any problems in fact my green arrowana and my clown loaches swim in the stream comming into the tank.

Must be nice to have decent tap water........ most city water sucks!
Mine is extremely hard and it has chlorine.....:irked:
 
bend over n sit on the container n then take a poop in it... the bacteria will get rid of the chlorine...
this is what i do... it works great and its cheap...
 
I keep aged water in two 55 gallon rubbermaid tubs. I have tested the water out of the tap and the amount of chlorine was relatively low but I found with a few different tests at different intervals that after ten hours the chlorine reading was at zero. I never tested a shorter time amount of time. I also had relatively heavy aeration going in the tubs.
