how do I blackout the back of my fishtank?

Interesting with the vinyl...

Right now I have a black pillow-case clipped to my 20 with binder clips and a folded up brown sheet on my 65 in the same fashion....Hopefully before too long I'll be painting them or SOMETHING. I need to get them both off the wall at some point and clean all the water spots, my glass is pretty dirty looking:(

I just spray painted the back of my tank with a gloss black krylon. Did like 3 or 4 even layers and used a total of 2 cans

I've used the vinyl cling-film type of window tinting. It makes crappy window tint, but a good tank background. If you buy the darkest one, it looks pretty much opaque when the tank is against the wall. It's probably a little more forgiving than the stuff zebvance used, since it looks like his has an actual adhesive whereas this stuff just sticks by static cling. You just wet the glass and the film with a spray bottle, slap it on, then squeeze out the bubbles with a credit card or plastic tape knife.
