whats not to love about bettas? even the wild caught plain variety are gorgeous,the pure bred fancies totally breathtaking ( a jet black double tail? stunning! ) they are tough and brave, intelligent and caring. lovely little fishies.

my female betta just passed away last weekend when i was in branson missouri i will miss her so much she jumped out of the tank and we cant find her body anywhere ill grieve her death

i feel your sadness...i lost three bettas all at once. and the fancy i ordered from thailand to replace them arrived dead.it made me so sad i haven't gotten another. and i am the type of person that ALWAYS has a betta. bettas are the first fish i picked out and kept on my own.the first i successfully bred on my own.the easiest and one of the best looking little friends to have.

the one i got that died was from walmart but it had great color it was a dark blue body and head with 2 black stripes going from head to tail and then it had bright red fins with neon blue on the tips it was so bueatiful
