Hi, I am cleaning my 55g glass tank, which has water buildup on the top and on the rim. Google is suggesting vinegar and water. What do you use? I tried earlier with just soap and water, but those things are determined to stay on.

Look up a product called Bar Keeper’s Friend. The stuff is awesome and cheap. You can apply it with just a sponge and water.
vinegar and water works, just spray on and let it sit for 15-30 minutes. It's a losing battle in the long run since your water is hard.

I use vinegar, usually needs to be done every week or so, depending on amount and frequency of "splash".

, if you have fish in the tank, be careful not to get any cleaning products in your tank.I have really hard water and use a razor blade to remove hard water stains.
If the tank is empty use the Bar Keeper’s Friend. It’s around $5 and works instantly. Not waiting or scraping.

Trying to sell the tank. Pic needs to look clean, so no water stains. I’ll try the vinegar x water, and perhaps the Bar Keepers Friend.
stick with vinegar and water since it’s free and it’s a resell. prices just for a bare pristine glass tank is less than $1/gallon in your area.
