how do i convince jds to spawn?

I finally just got my BG-JD's to breed. I added fake plants, caves, and 1-2 regular JD males to entice the main male to dominate and 1-2 reg JD females to entice the main female. Then like the others said, ironically my heater died for 2 days, then I put a new one in and ironically they laid eggs right after.

During this entire process, the pair has been showing interest in one another. The female was dark black already.

Goodluck! Breeding JD's is difficult IMO.

I had a pair of dempsy's a few years ago, I couldn't get them to breed. I ended up throwing another female in there for a bit and it seemed to strengthen their bond. They bred at some point after that.
