how do i find a pair of convicts?

Well, in most instances you can just get a pair, add water and feed...I just got a small definite pair and the male will have nothing to do with the female and I've had to separate them!

Another pair I got a while back paired instantly and are some of the nicest looking fish I've ever kept. See attached photos.

Actually this pair have spawned twice, from the second spawning, the fry became free-swimming just this morning lol. See attached photo of juvies from first spawn. Looking good.

Is there a reason you won't get Multiple convicts... you can buy them at our LFS by the dozen

i have a couple slate rocks in there for them, is that enough? do i need a cave?

you can but they will also breed without a cave, mine just bred in a heavily planted tank and some fry survived
