Planted 30 gallon, whole bunch of stuff came with the salvinia. Tubifex worms, snails, and turns out a whole bunch of damselfly nymphs came along with it too. How do I get rid of them? I'm putting alot of small fish in the tank do it is essential that they are removed. It's a 30 gallon and I don't know how many there are so I don't really want to stand around with a net looking for a living, locomoting needle in an aquatic haystack.
So far there's no fish in the tank, so can I just do a temperature shock or something? I plan on getting inverts that I actually want so I don't want to do anything chemical.

Or should I throw my juvenile trimac in there and let her go to town till I get my actual fish for the tank?

I would go with the trimac depending on the size however I’ve never dealt with this issue so take my words with a grain of salt.

She's about 3 inches long, I think she should be fine for the next 3 days

Welp she's in
Now we wait

She's on the hunt, I think I saw her catch something

She looks big for 3”, more like 5” to my untrained eye. Beautiful girl I have to say.

She does indeed look pretty big in pictures, irl she's a little less than the length of my finger but thank you, she's an f1 rio niltepec from max cichlids, so she should only get prettier from here
