Why are posts not related to Lepisosteids allowed (or moved) in this section of the site??? Characins and belonids are NOT Gar!!!

A common name does not make the fish nor does it make it relivent to a subject under "Ancient fish". To the real fan of these fish all this Needle fish and Pike characin stuff is just a bunch of spam...

you do realize this thread is from last october?? and we dont need to get into the true gar-false gar thing again..I think it is finally working the way it shoud (with the false gar threads being moved and such)
