I have a 125 gallon tank, with 3 tems, and 2 monos. But one of my tems won't grow. The weird thing is, is that I got him first and now he is the smallest in my tank. Does anyone have any suggestions or hints as to how to make him grow? Thanks in advance.

u can try seperating him to ensure good feeding.

iv got a tem. and orino. and an occelarius in a 75 they are anly about 4 inches...they eat everything but my temensis only seems to be partial to guppies...and the occational blood worm...what can i do to boost their color?

Depending on which type of tem he is may be the reason..rio tocantins wild caught "tems" now refered to as LAs are very slow growing temensis types as are many others depending on local of collection...or possibly if it is a farmed temensis it could be genetic stunting.

Otherwise if the temp is around 86*(higher temperatures cause faster metabolism) and he is fed WELL on a daily basis there is no reason for slow growth other than being the runt of the group and not getting as much food as the others...if this is the case it would be best to move him or arrange a way as so he gets an equal amount of food as the others ;)

Yeah it sounds like he is not geting as much food as the others i also suggest more wc's and a varied protien based diet such as nightcrawlers ,shrimp, beefheart, bloodworms real meat etc... combined with a hikari brand staple food.

might he have a gut parasite or something?
when he does eat, is he excited about food or does he seem to eat uncomfortably or something?

I feed him all of them twice a day, and he eats until he can't anymore. Thanks for all the advice. I will try all your suggestions.

I feed them FD shrimp, bloodworms, and live feeders.

Individual fish tend to grow at differant rates at differant times. Some of them seem to stay the same for a while and then shoot up like weeds.

In my own personal expierance water changes don't play much of a roll in growth rates. If your overcrouded enough for water changes to make the fish grow faster then you need a bigger tank.

Good water quality along with a proper but not forced diet...(power feeding) and a higher temperiture...(84 to 86 degrees) are all you need...That and a bit of patiance of course...
