Congrats on the black aro. The thing with them eating is don't stress.. I have one black that was like that..she still is a shy girl, but eats almost ( compraed to silvers ) normal. The secret is do not stress.
Good luck
Yeah he's got plenty of tankmates, a channa auranti, my mbu, some lower and upper jaw polys, and a few cichlids (bocourti, gold sev, geo). Check out the link in my sig if you wanna see pics. Saw his first kill last night, got himself a guppy! Was so happy for him, feel pretty relaxed now. Thanks for all the reassuring good advice guys
I do not want to be a pain in the bottom, but I would take care with the Channa, the Mbu and some of the cichlids..imo they don't mix with Aro's, much more young black aro's.
First congradulations on your New First Arow..and 2nd Congradulations on getting him to eat so soon... no matter what he eats it gets his digestive system active again and he will get a normal hungar once again.. and 3rd congradulations on picking up a beauty!

channa auranti and mbu are probably the most placid fish i've ever seen! i have 3 inch fish in with these boys and never seen a single bit of aggression from either of them. both fish get an angry tag put on them but it's just not true. thanks for the advice and will keep an eye but i think it won't be a problem.
Hope you 're right. I adore Mbus and like Channas, and although a Mbu is not a Fahaka, it still is a beastie that likes to do some harassment in the tank, in my experience..although i'm not familiar with your channa ( i personnally have marulioides ) i think that channas will be channas. anyway, sorry for my barging in with those boring "caution" opinions.
