id go easy on the crickets. mine acts really weird after she eats one. i stick to beefheart and liver. an occasional small goldfish every once in awhile.

The end without the collar is the tail. You might be thinking of red worms..? My fish don't like to eat the head enless they are real hungry. They always seem to prefer the end without the collar(the lighter colored end).balton777;1530115; said:
I always put under luke-warm water and squeeze out the muck and poo. The warmer water helps the worm "relax" it out. Just helps keep the feeding mess low.

Yeah, I do the same, get all that poop out so the fish ain't getting any of that bad bacteria in their gut.
