Some good points here "If its hungry it will eat" LOL This is true .
"Piranha can go a months with out eating" This is very true I have a
cariba that has only ate two exo and a chicken leg since JULY 18 2007
I continue to feed my others only pellets till the Cariba breaks and eats .
I say start slow starvation , Being its a single specimen you don't have to
worry about canibalizum .

and why wouldnt you really recommend two weeks do you think it would die of hunger in that time? if they are known to go months without feeding and be perfectly healthy what is wrong with making sure he is a little hungry before getting him to eat prepared food he wont take?

i did that to a rhom that wouldnt eat and it ignored the food i think he got used to seeing it going in every other day , so i left it a further 2 weeks and he snatched it up , he never stopped after that day, just relating my experience with stubborn rhoms , i have two 13ins rhoms that eat like pigs and a 11ins diamond that held out for 6 weeks

I would still stand what i had posted before...Piranha can go with out food for a long time. Piranha will not let them self die from hunger.

Keep feeding him every day...take the food out after 30min eat or not. try it again the next day. He will eat when he ready.

trust me it work every time......it's not easy to change piranha diet, but it can be done. some piranha take longer then other. some will take different diet in no time.
