I'd go overhead sump unless you're comfortable drilling the tank.

It's amazing how much damage a little bit of water can do. Play it safe. Floods are no fun.

Its a simple siphon overflow. Easiest way to utilize a sump without drilling the tank.

Yeah I watched some more videos about how it works. Simple, easy to build, and cheap. Thats what Im gonna do. I restoring a 75g bowfront and Im planning ahead. got it with the stand for 80 bucks no leaks. A lot to do but its nice to get back in the hobby after a few years with a project like this.
