how do i make clown loaches HUGE! in a peacefull comm tank

Any food is appreciated. What fish are in your tank that you would need to target feed? What size is the tank? Clown loaches are practically slow growers so you have to learn to be patient when it comes to this.
 
Plenty of neons tetras, random tetras, some barbs, 3 discuss, randoms really, just generally peacefull fish,
but the barbs and tetras tend to snatchthe food quickly
 
What species are these barbs and other tetras? What size are the tank and the loaches?

Isn't the tank already crowded?:eek: I'd limit the number of these barbs and tetras if the loaches are not getting anything else to eat. Weigh down vegetable matter and try sinking pellets. Most live foods are out of the question as the discus are at risk being infested by pathogens and even live foods are greatly relished by barbs and tetras.
 
yeah it is slightly crowded, but i do extremely regular water changes and do feed alot.
They do get food, i just want to know how they get more! or whats better.

Their belly i always big lol
and they actually come up to the top and compete with everyone!
 
Try the sinking pellets or tablets designed for bottom dwellers. They will get those easily once accustomed to such food.
 
Everything Lupin said (as always <g>). It takes Loaches years to grow and even longer to get 'huge'. The biggest thing is giving them lots of room and understocking enough to keep nitrates low. I think Clown Loaches are one of those fish you just sit back and enjoy for years to come (while you're changing lots of their water lol) but don't plan on seeing any real visible growth.
 
Mussels! Go to your local Asian food market and buy green mussels on the half shell. Puts loaches in a feeding frenzy, and it's pure protein.
