how do i make my flowerhorns hump get bigger ?

She has a large black blotch on her dorsal fin. Like I said before she has alot of trimac in her so it makes it easy. Fin length and humps are not a reliable way to sex cichlids. Venting is the best.

venting is one of the best way to find out the sex of your FH, the other way is to wait for it until it lays eggs.... ...that is 101% sure that you have a female FH

i dont know the sex of the fh but i bet your jag is a lady i have a mating pair my lady jag is like yours with the yellowish color and a slimer build u are going to have to get a bigger tank if plan on keeping all your fish lol with the fh.

Here, this will help. The top fish is a female trimac. The black spot on the dorsal fin is present on females. It is hard to see or impossible due to my feeble photography skills/camera but she is getting ready to lays eggs and her tube is dropping. The last is a male Fh.

thanks for revealing my FH sex. I sold it earlier today along with the texas and manganese simply because if i was to have one fish remaining in the tank i wanted a fh with at least some type of impressive hump. i sold him for 30 bucks and i later saw him selling the flowerhorn for 125, aint that a .............

125.00? For your female?? It would'nt go for more than 15.00 here. You may want to look into buying a fish a few inches long who has a kok started. Could save you $ and time.
