How do I make my older (2 years or so) computer faster?

hmm all sounds good it has a gig of DDR already should I still upgrade? I maintain it well defrag once a week. Any good spyware programs ? I use the lavasoft ad aware with mixed results. And I have not looked at porn on this computer. Honest. It was state of the art about 4 years ago. 3400 dollar system.

My comp is about 3 yrs old now and when that starts happening with mine I jus put everything I want to save on a flashdrive.....dont know if office depot still has this sale but you could get 4g flashdrives for 12.99 which is a great deal. Once u put what u want on it jus swipe ur computer, dont know much about ur model but did ur comp come with a recovery disk, or some computers when u first turn it on, a screen will appear b4 ur desktop comes up and it may have a button u cn push to do a swipe w/o having the disk...on my computer its F10. Once I swipe mine it moves FAST, just like it did when it was brand new.....I dont even know if anything i jus said will help you, jus tryna give some ideas....good luck....I hate a SLOW COMPUTER......PEP PEEVE OF MINE.....
