how do i make silver arowana less jumpy?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
move the snakehead or get rid of it... Or find a home for the arowana. They should not be in the same tank unless it like 500gallon plus.. and I would still not have them together... Arowana is a way cooler fish than the snakehead IMO.

well seems like no one here likes the snakehead. i found the problem and solved it anyway. it was a small mayan cichlid that hid in the plant and attacled the arowana. i have since removed the little **** and there are no problems now. the snakehead is really quite docile. i'll be posting a video of them soon! the aro eats live/dried mealworms, frozen bloodworm and dried prawns. the snakehead eats the same minus the mealworms. i give them a varied diet :)

You have to choose either the snakehead or arowana. They won't survive together much longer :(

It's quite possible they can get along together well; unlikely, but it can be gone. I wish you good luck :)

nice video and fish. i assume the aro eats just fine now. please keep us posted - it looks like you have a chance to provide valuable info from practice, not theory. you may prove the guys wrong or you may confirm their warnings. either way, it'll be valuable for many. thanks.
