How do I move a 2+ pound, 13 inch fish?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Catching my Oscar emptied about a gallon of water onto the floor. He thought it was seaworld and he was supposed to soak the fans. I'm pretty sure a Midas can kick harder than an Oscar. GL lol

So he's been moved.

I can't believe how much the fish weighed. It felt closer to 3 pounds! Water everywhere, and I mean everywhere.

I'm happy with my decision.

Ban me?

I have monster filtration still. And big fancy goldfish are still monsters. check it out.

Thought they were like puppies :naughty:

I moved a 17in TSC......minial mess but it took some skill. I felt like I was in the open water struggling with him in the net...basically tou are just going to have to deal with the mess. it comes with the territory.

Suggestion: drain some of the water.. slowly and calmly trap him in the net against a wall...hold him there for a minute while he calms down.. Slowly raised the net close to the water level. let him calm down again, then QUICKLY scoop the net out of the water>

Did this once with a large fishing net and had almost zero issues. He made a fuss, but wasnt injured.
