Hi. I have a few questions here.

I want to preserve my late beloved Peacock Mantis Shrimp. It has been dead for 2 days now.

I am going to use isopropyl alcohol. Do I preserve her in freshwater or saltwater?

Just put the mantis shrimp in a jar filled with formalin.

what! how did that happen? that sucks that mate. it was a true monster...

I think that it was some bright green lichen-like stuff that came on my live rock. I saw the mucous on my mantis shrimp's maxillipeds. At first I thought it was copper.

i hate the way aquariums go balls up as soon as you get them the way you want them... got mine looking good, tank cracked. you got yours looking great your peacock mantis decides to croak...:irked:

remind me again why im in this hobby?:)

you gonna get another? you seem to be spoilt for choice in hong kong...

Damn that sucks to have a tank CRACK...that would have gotten me into a right temper if it happened to me...

I'm not THAT spoilt for choice...well I am but it's not really THAT great.

I'm going to try a ceph next. Probably the smallest cuttle I can get at the market.

Chances are it will die.

it was even worse as i discovered it at 4:30 pm on a saturday! i dont know how i found a tank in time... i didnt feel well either. so im cleaning out my old tank when i should be in bed resting, spending money i didnt really have.

:irked:

its all fixed now though :)

Fully sucks. I spend my transport money on an extra bag of feeders all the time D:

Be careful...new setups tend to kill fish/inverts fast.
