well on thier first batch not all live and i hav enoticed not to bad, but i have a couple of "jellybean covicts" and they have ove 200 fry swiming around and getting ready to have more it think

Yes, I've seen them breed at about 1".

Females have red bellies. Males don't have red bellies and their fins comes to a point most of the time. They can lay 50-200 eggs.

cons will breed while small, and will breed very frequently

by 1 1/2" maybe sooner the females with get orange/red bellies. The males tend to have very lng pointy fins but so do some females when they are bigger so go by the belly. Once cons start breeding they will have batches often and anywhere

My 1.5" con laid 180 eggs on her very first batch. 600-700 would be a nice size for a large female.
