How do i sex convicts?

All above answers are very good I would just like to add that the color on females tends to be orange to red spots at front of belly. I have seen females get color at 1.5-2 inches and start breeding. They are the easiest fish to breed but will get teritorial once they build a nest or clean off a rock
to lay a batch of eggs. They pair up so easely. Sometimes they will eat their first and second batch of eggs, but dont worry they will figure it out.
If you remove the fry, the parents will very soon breed again.
They will breed in a 10g tank but 20g is better.

Good luck.

I've come to find that on my convicts, the females will have a yellow-ish tinge to their fins and the males will have a reddish tinge to their fins. I haven't seen it posted anywhere on the internet... oh well. That's what I get for spending hours watching my fish! LOL

Depends on various factors such as how many were fertilized, parental instinct in the parents, your ability as a fishkeeper, water parameters, etc.

how easy is it to look after the fry? do they need special food?

Do the males gotta always have a bump on its head? and If the fish i around 3 inches with no orange colors on its belly it means its a male right cause I bought A pair today and just making sure. Oh and is there such thing as femaes with no orange spots on its belly and im talking about the black convicts.
