how do i tell a tat from a scomb?

i was wondering how to tell a red tailed tat from a scomb?

put 2 8inch and up of each in a large thank. then flip the lights on and off, jump up and down. first one to bash the top of the tank is a tat.

just kidding.

you need to know exactly what either one looks like to be able to tell them apart, it's hard to describe with words. as channarox said, the red tail but color is tricky sometimes.

they both have the same bits, but proportions and coloration are very different.

The easiest most immiediate way to tell is Scombs have a black spot behind gill and Tats and Armatus have a line going downwards.
