How do they spawn?

Anyone have any experience of IT, AT, NTT, NGT spawning? Do they work well with a good shoal in a deep pond like Arowana, or will they only do it in a pair?

Or they can just do it in a big aquarium? Any ideas? Any facts?

You post made me think about an aspect of fish breeding that people sometimes don't consider: DEPTH of the tank. I have read several places that wild altum angelfish require very deep tanks to induce spawning, along with specific changes to their water. This has to do with their natural environment during breeding season. Maybe dats have a similar requirement?

I think the best bet for breeding dats in captivity would come from observing them and their breeding habits in the wild.

I would like to know how long everyone has had their dats? Does anyone have long term Dats in their tanks?

yep all tigers are wild caught if someone had bred them in captivaty im sure we would have hurd buy now

not sure, but I heard someone in Asia has breed them before but it was at a particular time of year and they were in a hugeeeeeeee pond. I am not sure if its true or not.
