How do u catch your fish?

I use two nets, one big and one small. The small is for going around decor and the big one is for netting!!

Good luck with that!!!!!

Some times it takes seconds, some times it can take a hour!!

oscar fish flaps their body REAL HARD when caught and got out of water.... kinda scary each time u net an oscar out..

Try this,
1st get a flashlight
2nd turn off all lights inthe room and tank, it has to be very dark in room.
3rd turn flashlight on and point it toward the fish.
4th net him
i have used this method before and it works wonders. thefish cannot see you or the net coming at him because of the light and as long as you dont use a real powerful light there is no damage from the light.

The fish just sit there and let you net them, kinda like that saying "like a deer in the headlights".

i have a net used for getting minnows thati put in the bottom of the tank spread it out then pull upp everything in the tank comes out at once

i find that involving food just before netting keeps them confused about what is happening and helps aid in quick catching

thats bad for the fish though , to have food in their stomach while moving.



one time i had to net a dozen of masheers from a tank swarming with clown loach..... fun times.... i used three nets . one big on to block off half a tank . one small chaser and then the big one..... took over an hour x_x thank god those were smaller fish like 8" so they wont really hurt themselves from running around. i cant imagine if my big 19" dat would swim like a masheer cuz that would be really scary . so ya, a good tip would be to get easy to net fish like dats, once they r in, they swim a lil, but once its out of water , they freeze ^^
