Hi I bought a used acrylic tank that came with a Blue background now my question is how do I change it? is it possible? I wanted a Black color Thank's in advance.

Probably the best way would be to attach a black piece of acrylic over the blue. Since it's not structural you could probably use a 1/8" thick piece and just silicon it in place.

Contact paper might work, too, but I don't know how well the adhesive would hold up underwater, or if it's aquarium safe.

Is it painted or adhesive? Try to find out what kind of paint it is.
If the paint has bonded to the surface you may have to have someone sand the paint off then re-polish the acrylic.

I'm curious too about this thing too

Sanding it down especially to remove the paint (who knows how thick it is) on an acrylic tank would, I believe, compromise the structural integrity of the tank. Especially if you don't sand evenly, stress I think would not distribute evenly across the entire background of the tank. Doing this method for smaller scratches and imperfections would work, but for something larger like the entire background just seems like you are asking for trouble. . . . :nilly:
