How do u guys feel about 15" height stand???

i just build the stands where im going to put the tank. just put down a painters blanket
or tarp down before working and you wont have clean up too much after. u can take
it out side when done and just dust it off. ofcourse when moving you would need to
take it apart which could be a pita lol

Yeah I could build it in the basement but whenever moving I gotta take apart the stand since the stand don't just fit.. sure love the footprint though.
 
I would think it would be a bad viewing height. You'd be looking down into it. Make the stand 5 x 3 x as wide as the door opening. That should be real close to 30".
 
I purposely built my stand shorter so I could make doing maintenance easier, and sump is behind the aquarium also in the basement .

All of my stands were between 15" and 24" , because I am 5'6" and do not have a lot of wingspan. Also like haveing them eye level when I am sitting down.

It would be awesome for a saltwater clam tank with a narrow beam LED far above the tank to give unobstructed top down viewing....
