How did you determine it was “aclimation shock” vs some other malady induced by the previous standard of care? I just wonder how you came to determine that the fish died due to insufficient acclimation as opposed to other issues?
All healthy looking fish, same shops, for years I'd have high losses all in the first week.
I changed to acclimating them over several hours and no losses in the first week since then.
It's possible that several shops suddenly had a massive improvement in the care of their fish, all around the same time. But that's less likely.
