need to move our 2 9'' motoro's into the new tank and not feeling that confident after getting the sting stuck in the net on the teacups?

i just use a big pond net.... the rubber nets are great

I just moved 2 14" rays. I used a rubber pond (walleye) net. Worked great - except I got really wet when one flopped wildly as I lifted him out.

for me i use a net that is to small to hold the ray then make sure the ray goes into the net head 1st make sure you have some thick garden gloves on

then lift the ray out in the small net with the tail sticking out the back hold the tail with your hand

this will stop the tail spikes getting caught on the net

I have moved my big Henlei twice now. There is no easy way. The easiest way to describe my experience is watch free willy and imagine a pond net.

For 8 incher get a big pond net and if they get caught up get some big welding gloves and untangle them. You should have no problems. I find the males are far more of the Aholes when you try to move them

I use large fish bags, the ones that line the inside of the shipping boxes. Sink the bag to the bottom, guide the ray in, lift to the surface, and drain some water out of the bag before removing from the tank. I don't get wet this way.

rubbermaid bins. With rays that small you should find one at target or Walmart cheap. Scoop them up. They aren't out of the water and the tail can't sting you or get caught in the net.
