HOW DO YOU BREED BLACKWORMS?

I never smelled anything come from my tank of them. I did small WC's twice a week on their tank and never fed them anything but paper bags. From what I've read you shouldn't use them to feed your fish if they have a foul smell.

I only use NLS to feed my haps. I use to use live worms and ended up with parasites and other undesirable stuff in the tank. No more worms for me ever. NLS is all you need. Good luck with those filthy bastards should you decide to you them.

Blackworms were first discovered in ditches from waste coming from Tomato canary here in Central California. I new a farmer who cultivated blackworms on his farm in a big mud pond that was about 2ft deep. He would dump truck loads old fruit old Tomato's and other organic waste into this pond. The water must be kept aerated with pumps that agitated the water. They would go into these pond and screen the mud with fish nets by hand to collect the blackworms. They would put the blackworms into a constant flow of freshwater that would go through a series of step troughs that would clean out the mud leaches waterbugs flatworms and debris till they had just clean worms. He sold them to all the pet stores around Northern California.
