How do you buy your fish?

I usually buy from the sellers here than from a local lfs. Great price , selection and there is a relationship established between myself and the seller . Plus most of the stuff they sell you wont find at my local lfs anyway.

But i want to know how it is with the rest of the gang. Have you bought fish online or from our sellers? If yes, were you happy with the entire transaction . If no, then please state the reason why .
 
The only problem i have with buying online is that I don't get a chance to see the fish beforehand. :(

LFS don't really have what I'm looking for so I go online. I was only really disappointed with my africans to be honest. Not sure I would have gotten them if I had seen them in person. :(
 
I buy from the LFS usually because they dont know what they are selling:D I like to be frugal.....some call it a cheap ass though

some of our sellers have been pretty generous with showing pics, videos even !...i understand your point but if its a seller that i trust, then i just ask for pics to see how it looks like, i trust that the fishes health is outstanding.


rallysman - to me i save money big time online than through retail.

i know how you feel... but i have full faith with the seller i deal with... they know what i like.. and what i want...
 
I am not picky about fish at all, common or uncommon so I do buy mine at the LFS. The shipping fees for fish are out of my price range for what I am willing to spend...at least at the moment. I also am a bit nervious about not being able to see the fish and the whole shipping process.
With that said, a lot of the times I will simply catch my own fish...cheap and fun. You obviously have to be a native fan though.
