How do you care for your rope fish?

They should be alone. They aren't the smartest fish and it takes them awhile to find their food. Other fish will eat all the food and the ropefish can starve.

I've always kept mine in community setups.
Avoid small tetras, or anything really aggressive. Feeding is easy as they readily crawl into your hand to take food.
Personally I like them with other African fish. Ornate ctenopoma, african knife, senegal bichir, syno cats, african butterfly, buffalohead cichlid and the like.
