How do you close holes drilled in the bottom of an acrylic tank?

Very nice tank. I'm starting to think lugging around the old glass tanks is to much of a pain I'm looking into acrylic tanks that need to be fixed aswell so I might be asking some questions soon.

Thanks! and i feel ur reasoning lol... had a glass 220 back in the day with ridiculous eurobracing and glass overflows that took 6 guys 2 move...after that i opted outta glass all together over 125gals... 2 guys can move a standard acrylic 300 no prob... i like the fact u can always repair/fix acrylic opposed 2 glass where ud need 2 replace panels. getting harder 2 find broken acrylics these days, atleast in my area neway.

im usually around 2 offer help...pics are always great of what ur workin on so start a thread when u find a nice clunker to fix or feel free to p.m. me anytime.

Chances are i can usually always offer advice/help/personal experience. Got my "degree" in acrylics by buying almost all my tanks broken...fixing them... then fixing them again when i didnt fix them right from the start. Also build them from scratch when i can collect enough scrap lol... I use weld-on #40 exclusievly these days, best acrylic glue on the market. its used by most mfg these days also. Heres a pic of a "frag" type tank i just built for my axolotl using 1" acrylic scrap and weld-on #40... wanted 2 learn rounded edges/polishing/buffing as well as the glueing process with a 2 part epoxy (#40) as used in larger tanks.

Ya man for sure. I'm looking for a decent size tank to repair and keep it in the basement until we move. So I can have a tank set up and ready to go in the new house when we move.

Check out the water at your new house before you move! I just moved 12 minutes from my old house and the water here is TOTALLY different it's been quite a struggle trying to adjust the fish and figure out how to best fix the water- my South Americans were so happy at the last house but this well is terrible - 8.3ph 30 nitrates and gh and kh off the scales out of the tap trying to find heavy metal and salinity testing next- it's a nightmare .
