Hi all.....I've had ac 110s for years but never really customized one as far as media goes...just curious if any of you out there have any neat ideas on changing up the media....pics would be great as well

personally ,,at the moment BOTH ac 110's have sponge on bottom, then blue bonded, and ceramic on top.on one of them I SLIPPED a piece of fine mechanical pad in between the bonded and the ceramic.....Lots of people just use 2 sponges for each filter...I WOULD DO THIS ,,, but I am currently trying to get by on the media I HAVE .... I have to buy the blue bonded media for other filters anyway , so I USE IT IN THE AC'S,,, in several of my ac70's I am running double sponges ....and I think it works great

Nothing too creative here. I have the large sponge on bottom & two AC50 sponges on top. I would use two 110 sponges but I had the 50s on hand & I'm cheap.

Haha I hear you man....was thinking of going with all mechanical since I have a 406 full of bio but I like the redundancy in case I'm working on one so I have bio in the 110 as well

Subscribed! I'm also interested on hearing your setups with AC110 and experiences.

2x 110 sponges and 1x bag of media on top. Not all the media gets under water, only about half but I think it's better then none :)

I use sponge, bonded pad, carbon, biomax in one and in the other I have the sponge, bonded pad and a large bag of matrix. Both are on the same 125.
