I would stay away from anything large then. Make the decor and plants the centerpiece with a few smaller fish. You'd be surprised how much waste 1 decent sized sa/ca can produce

Maybe ... but no point in speculating on my nitrate generation before my setup is running and fully cycled. I'll get into those details in my build thread for those who are interested in following along with my progress.
I'm still no closer to deciding on fish though ... still torn between SA and CA. Current plan is to have the tank cycling by 4/16. So I have probably another 4 weeks to think about it before I'm shopping for fish.
I'll weigh in on what process I went/go through when I'm looking for new fish but don't really know what I want.
I try to frequent all the LFS in my area and look to see if anything grabs my eye. I have a Pet Value (formerly Jack's Aquarium), Petsmart and Gerbers nearby. Pet Value and Petsmart both tend to have mostly your everyday fish but Gerbers has a big selection of unique fish.
While I am browsing I make sure to have my phone and look up info on fish I like on the spot. This allows my to decide if my intended tank will be suitable for the fish I am looking at.
If I really end up liking what I find then I take a picture of the nameplate for the fish so I can do more research on it later.
