I have a 3yr old Black Diamond, with a 7yr old proven female, he's never bred, just curious how to encourage him to breed

Mimic rain season. My male bred twice with my female after a massive temperature drop when I did a huge w/c

Not a guarantee but try separating in the same tank so he can still see her but not get to her then after a couple weeks release him. My male goes crazy on the female once he can finally get ahold of her again. Also depending on what the female is could always be a factor as well. I’ve never had luck breeding hybrids but stick two of the same kind together and there at in right away breeding.

Add another male

well it's hard to say whether the male has mature or not as age is not the factor here, my male came to maturity at age 3 and a half. My friends male mature at age 2 plus lol

Took my BD male 5 yrs to breed my 9 year old female Leo. Mow he is a horn dog.

Very much appreciated for the info, it's crazy that some males seems to know what to do and others literally get shrugged off, the female BD I have literally just chucks him off, I guess he hasn't figured out how to manoeuvre himself into position, oh well time will tell lol.

yup it's a waiting game, once he know what to do them you will be a grandpa

Both my bdmale and my pearlmale is on top of their breeding game. Currently have them in with my large p14 female. And everytime i do and wc wich is every other or third day they are trying to mate her. When i do wc i spray water on the surface simulating rain and the males get in to mood. On top of that i light some candles and plays barry white for them :nilly:
