how do u feel when your gf gets interested in fish and gets a tank and gets a freakin donkey fish like a molly or a feeder goldfish.

my first reaction i gotta say is anger

I'd say chill out. Be happy your significant other shares your interests and remember that most people start this hobby with a fish very similar to the ones she has chosen.

now you guys are making me feel bad. i got the fish with her and i went along with everyything. what can i say. i just like to go monster

everybody has to start somewhere and i started with a 30 cube let her enjoy what she has now and if she really likes it. show her the enjoyment of feeding time with south american chiclids my fish of choice.

as long as she's happy and enjoys the hobby, that's all that matters. i got my wife koi's for her tank.

Chill out man. My girl has been keeping fish longer then me, and she has a 10 gallon live bearer community. When I get a bigger tank, she wants my 55 for a larger livebearer community.

LOL..I'd simply grin if I find out she shops for some fish and give her a talk about how best to take care of them. I have no gf at the moment though.

my gf "rescued" two minnows from my snakehead tank and keeps them in her 5 gallon

my mom rescued 3 goldfish from my tanks when i setup at 20g. ahh
