Well, thats pretty much it, please include size of tank, wattage of heaters, or system used, and if you know the cost to run it monthly would be great.

Thanks

Running about 500G now, will be adding 210 and will be using about 1500Ws to heat it.

On my 210 I use two inline 300 watt heaters attached to a temperature controller.

my 300 g pond i run a 300 watt titanium heater in the waterfall and it keeps it at 82 degrees with no prob at all
ps i keep the house at 70 and im in northern ohio

I used one 300 watt heater in my 300 gallon but I do keep another titanium 250watt heater in my sump. I only turn the second heater on when I know the up coming week is going to be cold.

not sure how much my electricity bill is for just that one tank, but I am thinking is about 50 buck more a month. I have few other big tanks so its hard tell the cost per tank.

If one tank costs you $50 a month to power you need to make some changes. My reef tank with 2x250 mh's and an assortment of other goodies only cost me about $10 a month in electric. My 210 with three canisters, 2 heaters, 4 light strips costs less than $10 a month and I keep my house at 68 degrees and the tank at 82 degrees.

Well my tank will be 700 gallons +100 gallon sump,
I plan on using 2 1000 watt heaters,

any guess on cost to run?

500watts of lights 8 hours a day = 4 killawatts a day for the ligths, with an avg cost of 0.10 per KW = 0.40 a day $12.00 a month fo just lights. even if you pay half that .05 per killawatt that $6.00 a month. that doesnt include heaters, filters skimmers, power heads. I would like to know where you get your math or if you got some ulta cheap electicity.

I don't know how long you keep your lights on but I keep mine on more then 8 hours, plus I would assume my heaters run at least 4 hours a day.
