How do you like your RENA heater?

I'm considering getting a rena heater.. only because its takes place of the in-take tube. I'm thinking of using it so i dont have to use my pathetic self made PVC pipe one.. for a canister i have in there.. I'm currently using a 300watt jebo along with a 150watt topfin...

However i find the price to be well.. on the high-end side... and was wondering if anyone else uses it on MFK. and how they feel about it... i'll probably be a 200watt one.. So wanted peoples opinion on what they are like?

I have two of them on my 90 gal. I like them. Fit perfect on my XP filter intakes (I have 1 xp2 and 1 xp3), easy to read and set dial. LED will turn on when running, and it will also blink to alert you if water temps are higher or lower than desired.

BTW Dr. Fosters and Smith are having a sale on all heaters right now.

I can add that before I bought these heaters I was running the standard rena glass heaters for 4 years without one problem. In fact I have three of the standard rena heaters in the sump for my pond. Rena heaters = great!
 
I want to use the Rena heater for my canister filter.. and plus it seems like theres a lot of cool technology inside this heater..

It def beats JEBO heaters... I just found one of my smaller ones at the point of burning out.. :eek:
 
my friend has one of those. works great like any other heater lol. i've only used Hydor Theos.
